Welcome to my World

A German in Cambridge

28 March 1970
I'm a German living in Cambridge UK. I work as a technical translator (Software, Hardware, manuals, help, websites etc.), hang out with friends, try my luck as an occasional DJ, try to become a better photographer and roleplay (tabletop and live).

As davywavy puts it:
When it comes to the subject of A. Beck
It's worth visiting him when you're on spec
'cos if you are in luck
Then for you he will cook
For free, not for cash, card, nor bank cheque.

Note: Anonymous posting is switched off. If you're not man (or woman) enough to stand up for your opinion, I don't want to know about it. (spambots are on the increase, too) If you don't have an LJ account, get an Open ID.

Tagging and filtering of posts:
Various posts are tagged with subjects in square brackets (e.g. [Photo] or [Cambridge]). This doesn't mean they are locked to a specific group but are more of a guideline so people who aren't interested in that subject can skip the post. If, however, a post with a bracketed subject is friends-locked, it is usually only visible to a specific group of people. If that post contains sensitive information, please keep it to yourselves.

Friends policy:
Feel free to add me but don't necessarily expect to be added back. If I know you in real life or via IRC/forums or your posts are actually interesting (i.e. other than online tests and other tripe), chances are high that I will add you back. In reverse, I don't mind if I added you and you don't add me back. ;o)

As mentioned above, my main hobby at the moment is photography so here are a couple of links to my work:
- DeviantART gallery. This is my portfolio, i.e. the best of the best.
- You can now buy prints of my photos. If there is any photo not in that gallery you would like a print of, just ask and I'll add it.
- Photography projects (portraits, architecture etc.)
- Concert photography
- Holidays
- Work in progress, previews and single photos that don't fit in anywhere else

- Ozzy's Gallery with parties and generic roleplay events
- Ozzy's Gallery Too with more RPG and party pics.
More online albums:
- RPG photos
- Events (clubs etc.)
- Parties
